'Carousel' was created to show what it can be like in a neurodivergent brain. I am diagnosed autistic ADHD and have always explained my thoughts as like being on a carousel. They spin at great speed and when the world is loud I find it extremely challenging to grab and focus on one.

The Poem reads:

'Thoughts on a carousel, 
spinning around my mind.
Unable to slow the noise inside,
fog is all I find.
I have to calm the world outside
to focus on what I need.
But it's hard to hear, see or think
with a mind moving at speed.'

This acrylic on canvas painting comes unframed but has hanging attachments on the back.
